Rules

  1. ● While the test will be held a total of three times, with a score and “SEGA IQ” calculated for each, scores from multiple tests will not be added together.
  2. ● Each of the three test sessions will feature different questions.
  3. ● Each will contain 60 questions.
  4. ● Each question is worth 1 point for a total of 60 points.
  5. ● Each test session will last 60 minutes. After 60 minutes have elapsed, the test will automatically end, even if you are in the middle of answering a question.
  6. ● You will have 60 seconds to answer each question. When 60 seconds have elapsed, you will be taken automatically to the next question. The test will have multiple choice questions where you choose a single answer from four possible options, multiple choice multiple answer questions, and questions where you specify the order of several options.
  7. ● Pressing the “Submit” button after selecting your answer takes you to the next question.
  8. ● Once you press the “Submit” button you cannot change your answer. You also cannot go back to a previous question and change the answer you gave.

Taking the Test

1. Preparation

You will need a PC or smart device that can connect to the Internet, and a Twitter or Facebook account to register for the test.

2. Registering

Please register to take the test from this website. Advanced registration is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Registering ahead of time will make things go smoothly the day of the test.

3. Starting the Test

Log in before the test start time, read the displayed information, confirm your name, and wait for the test to begin.
Please note that the deadline for starting the test is 5 minutes after the test session start time.
At the designated start time, click or tap the “Start Test” button and attempt to answer all 60 questions within 60 minutes. You will only have 60 seconds to answer each question. The test will finish after you have answered all questions. Results will be announced at a later date.

Important Points

  1. ・ Your test will become invalid at the point that your web browser crashes, or you mistakenly close the web browser window displaying the test.
  2. ・ Do not use your web browser’s Back button.
  3. ・ We suggest you take the test using a good, stable Internet connection. The test timer will continue to count down even if you lose your connection to the test website server.
  4. ・ If using a battery-powered device, make sure there is enough charge left to finish the test.
  5. ・ When you log in with your Facebook account, please allow access to your email address. If it's not allowed, you will not be able to receive prizes.
  6. ・ A test cannot be retaken even if you were unable to successfully take it for some reason.

Cheating

  1. ・ This test is meant to check your own knowledge of SEGA, so please refrain from taking it with others.
  2. ・ Looking up answers on the Internet during the test and other forms of cheating are not in the spirit of the test.
  3. ・ Cheating and/or violation of the test rules, if discovered, may result in the test participant’s results being removed from the test result ranking and their forfeiture of all rights to obtain prizes, regardless of their test results.
